Yes, they'll work on lightly textured walls (like orange peel or knockdown texture). The cover will sit flush against the wall just like a standard plate.

For heavily textured walls (like deep popcorn or stucco), there might be small gaps around the edges. If that bothers you, you can use a thin bead of paintable caulk around the perimeter to seal it—totally optional.

Yes! As long as your wallpaper is smooth and properly adhered to the wall, the covers will install just fine. They screw into the electrical box, not the wall surface, so the wallpaper doesn't affect installation.

Just be careful when unscrewing the old plate so you don't tear the wallpaper.

Most landlords are fine with decorative switch covers because they're 100% removable with zero damage. You're not altering anything permanently—just swapping out a cover plate.

Yes! As long as the dial operates through the faceplate opening, our cover will work. Since our midsize plates replace your existing plate, the dial opening is properly sized for standard dimmers and the dial still rotates freely.

Just make sure to order the rocker/Decora size if you have a modern dial dimmer, or toggle size for older dial dimmers.

Absolutely! We make covers specifically for rocker/Decora switches. Just make sure you select the "Rocker" option when ordering, not the "Toggle" option.

If you're not sure which type you have, rocker switches are the flat paddle style (you push the top or bottom). Toggle switches are the classic flip-up/flip-down style.

If your electrical box is set very deep into the wall, you might need longer screws to reach through both the existing plate and the decorative cover. Standard screws are usually 3/4" long—you might need 1" or 1.25" screws instead.
