Kustom Kreationz by Kila began with a simple idea: the parts of home we stop noticing do not have to stay ordinary. Even something as small as a light switch cover can carry color, culture, personality, and meaning.
Homes are full of personality — the art we hang, the colors we choose, the books we keep, the photographs we frame, the things we refuse to throw away.
And then there are the switch plates.
Plain. Generic. Easy to ignore.
KKBK grew from questioning why a detail we touch every single day had to feel completely disconnected from everything else in the room.
What if the switch belonged in the story too?
The idea was never simply to decorate a piece of plastic. It was to take something functional and give it enough personality to become part of the room.
Fabric brought pattern. Color brought energy. Texture brought dimension. Buttons, crystals, cultural prints, botanical designs, faith-inspired pieces, and unexpected materials gave each cover its own voice.
One small object became a way to finish a space without changing the whole space.
As KKBK grew, one thing stayed important: the work still needed to feel human.
Every cover is made with actual hands. Materials are chosen, positioned, adjusted, finished, and checked one piece at a time.
That means small variations happen. It means no two handmade pieces behave exactly alike. And it means the person making your order is paying attention to the thing that will eventually live on your wall.
Somewhere along the way, KKBK became clearer about what home really meant to this brand.
Home is where faith gets practiced. Culture gets remembered. Family gathers. Creativity gets messy. Traditions begin. Ordinary days become memories.
That changed the work. The goal was no longer simply to make a switch plate prettier. It became about helping the smallest details of a room feel connected to the people living inside it.
KKBK became a place for homes that did not want every surface to look like everybody else’s.
Some walls needed heritage. Some needed sparkle. Some needed something botanical and grounded. Some needed color. Some needed play. Some needed a reminder of faith.
And some just needed one little thing that made the room finally feel finished.
Handmade is not here to make the product sound precious. It changes how the product is actually made.
Materials, prints, textures, and details are selected because they add something to the finished piece — not because they were the easiest option available.
Each cover moves through a hands-on process instead of dropping off an anonymous production line. The making is part of what gives it character.
The final piece should feel like it belongs in a real home — useful enough for everyday life and expressive enough to deserve its place on the wall.
Today, Kustom Kreationz by Kila is still centered on handcrafted switch and outlet covers — but the vision around them has grown.
The collections now move through culture, faith, nature, texture, play, glamour, and everyday personality. Custom work makes room for ideas that do not fit neatly into an existing collection.
But the heart of it is still the same: take an overlooked part of the home and make it feel like somebody actually thought about it.
Faith, intention, heritage, craftsmanship, individuality, and legacy are the standards underneath the work — not just words around it.
